Application for Provisional Patent Filed

Beta Pharmaceutical Limited is pleased to announce the development of a new and patent pending drug delivery system that the Company intends to use in the fight against breast cancer. 

Aspects of the invention include stable compositions of nanoparticles in the form of nanostructured lipid carriers that entrap tocotrienols and its various isoforms for delivery of those drugs. 

The United States provisional patent application filed for this invention on the 1st September, 2009 establishes a record of the invention in the United States Patent and Trademarks Office and can form a claim of priority to the invention that will allow the Company and its partner to seek patent protection in the United States and in other countries throughout the world.  The United States is the world’s largest pharmaceutical market.

The Company’s new drug delivery system may underpin the commercial development of an injectible medication for the treatment of breast cancers either alone or in conjunction with other chemotherapeutic agents.
