Dr. Paul W Sylvester to Speak at South Korean Conference 14 September, 2009

Dr. Paul Sylvester, Pfizer Endowed Professor of Pharmacology and Director of Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Pharmacy, University of Louisiana at Monroe, has been invited to speak at an international technical seminar on palm oil and palm oil bio actives.

The Malaysian Palm Oil Council has organized the seminar for September 14, 2009 at the Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel in South Korea’s capital.  The event, a joint effort of the Council and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation of Seoul, is aimed to highlight the market development of palm oil and palm bio actives.

The Council, recognizing Dr. Sylvester’s expertise and involvement in palm tocotrienols and cancer research, extended the invitation to him to speak at the seminar.

The title of Dr. Sylvester’s paper to be presented at the seminar is “Synergystic Anticancer Effects of Combination Tocotrienol Treatment with Other Chemotherapeutic Agents”.

Beta Pharmaceutical Limited focuses on research and development of effective treatments for breast cancers.

Dr. Sylvester is leading the Company’s research work.
